There were a couple of limited production versions of the Cobra. One of the limited editions was the Super Snake.The Super Snake had Twin Paxton superchargers, racing headers, racing rear end and racing breaks. The Super Snake was fast as all get out and was not for the faint of heart. Shelby’s personal Super Snake sold at auction in 2007 for $5.5 million. The super snake is one of the rarest of the Cobra Models.

There was a Coupe model made. 6 total chassis were made for improved aerodynamics down the Mulsanne straight in the 24 hours of LeMans. They were known as Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupes. 1 of these cars was at a recent Cobra owners club meeting in San Marcos TX.

Lincoln has also occupied a prominent place in history by providing many of the vehicles that would be used as official state vehicles for presidents of the United States. The first Lincoln vehicle to be used in this capacity was a 1939 Lincoln V12 used by Franklin D. Roosevelt. The limousine in use on that fateful day in Dallas in November 1963 was also a Lincoln. It is currently on display at the Henry Ford Museum. Lincoln vehicles have also been used by Presidents Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Bush.

Beginning in 2007, Lincoln made a change to its marketing strategy and began giving three-letter names to all new models with the exception of the Navigator and the Town Car. In 2009, Lincoln is expected to make the MKS its new flagship model, replacing the Town Car, which has had that position in the Ford line up since 1981.

Aston Martin has finally presented the first fully completed one-77. New British super car presentation was held at the exclusive car show Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy. The concept car exterior design was already seen in pictures, but now it was possible to see the car interior. There will be made only 77 Aston Martin One-77, and each car will cost at least 1,8 million dollars. Very soon they will make the first custom-made copy. All the small series production will be completed by the end of the next year. Moreover, as Aston Martin representatives have pointed out, each car will be made in close conjunction with its next owner, and the manufacturer will use its best efforts to be sure that none of 77 unique cars is coming into the so-called profiteers hands.

Like F1 racing car, the One-77 design is based on the ultra-light and highly resistant carbon fiber. At moncok there has been attached the four wheel double lever suspension and it is almost the same as it is on F1 racing car, where the vertical suspension is converted into horizontal.

The Getz’s 110bhp CRDi unit makes it the most powerful hatchback in the country. But all this power hasn’t really translated into driveability. The five speed gearbox is light and easy to use, a good thing while driving in town because you constantly have to shift due to the sluggish low speed response. The Fusion uses the same motor as the Fiesta. The 1.4 litre puts out 68bhp and 16.3kgm of torque. The clever gearing also helps to hide the power deficit.

The Land Rover stand witnessed the most fuel efficient Landie ever in the form of the new Freelander TD4 e stop/ start a diesel 4×4 with enhanced kmpl figures and CO2 emissions reduced by 8 percent. The TD4_e has a simple formula for reducing emissions cut the engine on traffic lights.This trick, according to Land Rover, is good enough to improve the efficiency and reduce the emissions by a considerable margin. More efficient tyres, remapped engine management and a gearshift indicator further help enhancing the environment friendly credentials of the big SUV. The technology will come as a standard fitment on diesel Freelanders.
The latest in the range of the Nagare flow concept, the Kiyora also previews a city car that may hit the production line as early as 2010, if the public response is encouraging enough. The kiyora in is tune with ‘Sustainable Zoom-Zoom’ Mazda’s branding for sustainable mobility. Meaning clean and pure, the Kiyora has a 1.3 litre direct injection gasoline engine, an auto box and an advanced start stop system or smart idle stop system in Mazda lingo.
